Goal
Jesus came so that every person may have life and have it abundantly.
Following Jesus and being true to the vision of our founders, we commit ourselves
to respect, protect and promote life. We uphold the dignity and rights of every person. We stand in solidarity with the disadvantaged, especially the women and children.
Steps
Conscious, that Jesus is our salvation - we, the Sisters of the Holy Cross:
- allow ourselves to be challenged by the realities of the present day world to recognise the call of God, to respond in specific ways and to initiate appropriate action
- conscientise ourselves and others from the Biblical perspective on human dignity
and human rights - raise our voice against unjust and life threatening situations
- work towards the integral development of the person
- nourish an attitude of hospitality
- in line with the goal, make appropriate changes in prayer life, community life and
initial and ongoing formation - evaluate our ministries and are ready to restructure or to open new ones
- work with other congregations and organisations and join movements
for justice, peace and integrity of creation
Spiritual basis
